The origins of this cultivar are somewhat vague. It may have gone from America to Japan & back to America again! Not only in my opinion does it have the best purple flowers of any Wisteria but also distinctive glossy foliage & bronze colored new growth. One of the very best cultivars available in our opinion.
Grafted plant, 1 year old. Plant might be trimmed to the size of the shipping box 22 inches. Very well rooted plant, ready to be transplanted to the permanent location. Perfect for smaller spaces, this gorgeous twining vine grows at about a third the rate of Asian wisteria. Blooms at an early age, with its lightly fragrant purple racemes weeping gracefully downward. Use in containers for porch or patio, train up an arbor or trellis, or as a small free-standing tree. Deciduous.
