item note: 1902 Publication date. Green Cloth bound with Gold Embossed spines. Spines are embossed with a nice design on the head of the spine then the name of each volume, then line then Thackeray then the first design again and a nice shamrock design in the middle of the spine and the first design pattern repeats again on the lower spine edge. Gold gilt on the top page edges and deckled page fore edges. Faint rubbing on the corners, but no bumping or splitting. This set is in excellent overall condition! Volume 1, Vanity Fair the front cover is starting to separate from the binding. Volumes 2, 3, 4, and 5 are all like new! Volume 6 has some minor wear on the front cover, its really more of a discoloring spot. otherwise like new. Volume 7 and 8 are like new. Volume 9 has a small spot of discolor on the back, similar to Volume 6. Volume 10 is like new. Volume 11 has some cover separation in the front. There is also a name written in the first blank page/FFEP. Volumes 12 thru 20 are all like new. This will make a wonderful addition to any library! They look great on the shelf. 050815
