For sale is a Vintage Original Religious Holy Prayer Card in celebration of:
Rev. Daniel E. Crahen, O.M.I.
Ordained a Priest by the Grace of God
May 24, 1971
Research online indicates that Father Daniel E. Crahen OMI, a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, is currently a member of the Parish Staff at St. Patrick Parish in Lowell, Massachusetts.
According to the Feb 28 & Mar 1, 2009 Bulletin of St. Ann Melkite Greek Catholic Church Father Daniel E. Crahen OMI:
“studied in New York, Boston and Washington DC. He has been stationed in Lowell Mass, Miami Florida where he helped out the Melkite , Ruthenian, Ukrainian and Maronite Churches there. He has worked since then in California with the Migrant laborers, and in Mexico esp. Tijuana where for 9 years they had a parish of 10 miles in extent with over 250,000 poor people living in misery. They built houses for the poor, convents for the nuns, chapels for the worship of the Lord and just finished the first Catholic School for the poor children. There they have a Convent to St. Sharbel who has worked many wonders for the people there. They are finishing a convent and school in Guadalajara Mexico for the Missionary Sisters of the Most Blessed Sacrament who are opening a Novitiate there because of the many vocations. He has lived some time in Lebanon during the war to try to bring some relief to the orphans and afflicted. He is now stationed at a parish in Lowell, MA where they have Cambodians, Vietnamese Hispanics and Irish parishioners. He has helped Fr. Ed in Manchester, Worcester and at the Cathedral as well as the seminary in Methuen.”
This is a Single card. The front features a colorful art portrait of Mary Immaculate.
Card measures approximately 4 inches top to bottom by 2 1/4 inches across.
An Original pre-owned item in GOOD condition. The colors are beautiful, rich and vibrant. Slight bump to right corner tip.
A lovely keepsake to enhance ancestry / family tree genealogy records or add to his hometown history center.
A SCARCE Ancestry item very difficult to happen upon, available because someone thought enough of him to preserve it all these years!
