Original building construction vintage catalog REPUBLIC INDUSTRIES INC. Concealed in floor door controls, manually operated. Precision-Built Door Controls represent the first major improvement in almost 50 years in what are known as Checking Floor Hinges. It employs the principle of cam action against rollers. This catalog is designed to permit the architect and contractor to select the Dor-O-Matic Door control that meets his requirements and those of his clients. Shown is the Toronto transit Commission Subway. Designed to withstand high density traffic such as encountered in this installation, these door controls have continued to perform with minimum of maintenance under the ever increasing traffic load of this remarkable transportation system. Single acting, heavy duty, double acting, top pivots, side jamb pivots, and thresholds are shown. File No. 27-B. This unique 1958 old 12 page technical catalog would make a marvelous addition to your engineering collection. Pages are loose and contain a tiny amount of residual glue on edge.
