This piece of wall decor seems to have a winter or Christmas theme to it.
The person on this wood plaque could be a gnome, with a white beard, wearing a Santa type hat, or he could be something else entirely.
He seems to be hiking in winter, with a backpack and walking stick.
On the back of the painting is written in script: Hand Carved by Signerd Christophersen; painted by Clair Christophersen Edman.
This piece is very well done.
The front of the piece has a slightly 3D effect, since it is a hand carved piece.
It measures approximately 12.25 inches tall, and 7 inches across.
This is a sturdy, well made piece.
It has a hook for hanging.
There are a few minor nicks in the wood, and there are a few stray marks of paint on the area outside the main painting.
There is a piece of what looks like a dried sticky label on the upper right hand side of the piece, that may or may not come off with a goo gone type product.
