 Plot:

The Year is 2201, Approximately 1 year has passed since the deadly attack by Gamilas that nearly caused the destruction of the Earth. The Yamato crew has since separated to help in aiding the rebuilding of life on Earth which has been steadily recovering from this confrontation. Two of its members, Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori have been excitedly anticipating there reunion and soon to be wedding. Only a new threat has been quietly approaching in the darkness of space. Sanada has also picked up a mysterious transmission from a woman and what appears to be some sort of warning. Kodai weary of a possible new threat tries to get permission to investigate this matter further but the request is quickly dismissed. An even harsher blow comes afterwards when Kodai learns that the Yamato is to be dismantled and all its crew will be permanently reassigned. In outrage and defiance it’s now clear to Kodai and the other members of Yamato that drastic measures must be taken to insure the safety of the Earth. They will have to stage a mutiny and take the Yamato to discover the location and meaning behind this mysterious transmission on their own. The lives and careers of the Yamato crew are now squarely on the line. Will Kodai and the crew of the Yamato be able to discover and stop this new threat or will this be the last mission for the men and women of Space Battleship Yamato!
