The earrings are sterling silver, which has a gold toned coating on it, so although these earrings are made of sterling silver, they have a gold appearance. There is some darkening of the setting in spots around the stone, so these earrings would benefit from a polishing.
The stones of the earrings are gorgeous. They have a faceted cut on the surface of them, which I believe is called a Briolette cut and are a gorgeous golden topaz or cognac type color. The stones are probably some type of synthetic cz type material. They are not precious stones.
The stones measure approximately a little more than .75 of an inch tall and approximatly .5 of an inch wide at their widest part.
These earrings have not been worn.
These earrings would look great on someone with dark hair. They are truly some of the most stunning earrings I have ever seen, but I have light hair and they really didn't look good against my coloring. The earrings have never been removed from the box, they were only held up while inside the box.
