The AMAZING *Reusable* All-Purpose PACKAGE

What packaging is 100% organic & recyclable, compostable, (biodegradable),
machine or hand washable, reusable and has been used by virtually every
nation and people in the world for countless generations - for centuries?
Introducing the marvelous, ubiquitous, humble cotton bag. Add a self-closing
drawstring as a simple closure & you have what we call a "POUCH BAG".
("Muslin" is a form of "Cotton")

The mechanical revolution necessitated the use of attaching extra parts to
machines of all sorts - attached by the same drawstrings & kept at-hand for
later use. These were the same bags used by gourmet cooks for centuries
as straining tools for soup stocks & sauces. Herbalists use them for making tinctures and concentrated solutions. The machine industry called them "PARTS BAGS", chefs called them "JELLY BAGS", as they were commonly used in the canning process. And even today herbalists refer to them as "BREW BAGS", or "STEEPING BAGS".

Straining, steeping, boiling, brewing, or for clams, juices, extracts, soups, sauces, jams, jellies, or even herbal defusions in a pot of food where the herbs will be removed afterwards. Cheese makers separate the curds from the whey by using pure cotton bags (far superior to the use of "cheese cloth" mesh). Beer brewing requires using bitter hops - and though the slight taste of hops may be desireable, no brew would be palatable with the hops actually floating in it. (YUK!)

No other devise has been discovered for all these uses better than this very common and humble bag. Yet trying to find these available for purchase in the United States is not an easy task. Crafters have used these bags for sachets, as hardware stores use them for small parts of all kinds. Yet, as common as their uses may be, they remain a hard-to-find commodity on the retail market.

One frustrated customer looking to do some at-home canning gasped, "What do people do to strain jelly these days? Would farm & tractor supply stores have jelly bags? If I start tearing up fabric at home, which is best, T-shirt, sheet, or flannel nighty, or new pair of cotton underpants? Oh what is the world coming to? A pestilence of cell phones and no jelly bags!" Gracious! What's a disgruntled housewife supposed to do these days?

We wholesale these wonderful bags in sizes ranging from tiny 1.5"X4" bags to the jumbo 12"X20" bags. All sorts of grains, powders and other products are packaged in these bags - even marbles! We believe we are the only source who supplies these bags in a range from a retail 4-Pk (with tag), to bulk 100Pk bundles.

Note: These bags are hand made. Please allow for size variance of +- 1/4". For first order of a particular size we recommend you err on the large size and order next larger size.
