Issued in 2008 for the 100th Anniversary of the Ford Model T
Ford Motor Company produced over 15 million Model Ts between 1908 and 1927.
Before 1914, the Model T was mostly hand made and took 12.5 hours to assemble
from pre-manufactured parts.
After 1914, when Henry Ford started his famous assembly line, it required 84 steps
and 93 minutes to assemble a Model T. Before 1914, Model Ts were available in
several colors. After 1914, Model Ts were only available in black because black paint
dried quicker than other colors.
This replica in red represents a pre-assembly line hand made prototype.
