ANGEL FOOD CAKE AND OTHER HEAVENLY DELIGHTS, compiled by The Youth Group of The Tequesta First Presbyterian Church, 482 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta FL Florida 33469. This dated 1997 recipe book measures approx 6”x 8-1/2” with 138 pages including a Foreword titled Expression of Appreciation and Table of Contents. Cookbook is full of typed-format recipes with no advertising filler, and with 233 recipes and approx 91 unique contributors, you KNOW there is a good variety of MANY good recipes!

ITALIAN CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1/2 lb sausage
1-1/2 lb chicken, cut in 1” pieces
2 cups green pepper chunks
1 cup sliced onions
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 clove minced garlic
16 oz can tomatoes, crushed
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
Hot cooked rice
Heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium heat. Remove sausage from casing and add to oil; stir and cook 5 minutes. Add chicken; cook and stir until lightly brown. Remove to plate. Add remaining oil, green peppers and onions. Cook, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and garlic. Cook, stirring often, another 5 minutes. Return chicken and sausage to pan, and add tomtoes and seasonings to pan.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer approximately 20 minutes. Remove cover, bring to boil over high heat for 5 minutes.
Serve over rice.

SOUTHWEST CHICKEN
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
2 teaspoons barbecue seasoning
2-1/2 - 3 lbs chicken, cut up
Combine all ingredients except chicken in small saucepan. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour over chicken parts in a 9” x 13” casserole. Bake one hour in 350-degree oven. Serve with rice.
Guests will ask for recipe, so have some ready.

BEST MEATLOAF (No filler bread crumbs)
3 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 egg
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons horse radish
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup canned tomatoes, drained
Mix all ingredients together with fingers and pat in glass cooking pan. Leave room around edges for juices. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours.

Condition: Very Good, and I checked EVERY page to enter all the names! (I include ALL names in ALL fundraiser-type cookbooks because I know how frustrating it is to hope and wonder if specific contributors are included in a book, only to find out they’re not, upon receipt.). Pages and semi-plasticized covers are mostly clean with only a couple internal (page 58/59) and external spots (back cover), tight to spiral binding, no folds or tears or chips, all pages intact, no defective spirals. Slightest edge/corner wear. Only writing is penned inscription (see enlarged 2nd image above) on title page, inside front cover ... “Given to me by Sylvia Allison on Christmas night at Jen’s 1997.” Minimal wear to cover edge/corners. Any shadow is from copier and NOT on items. Books are NOT from smoke-free or pet-free environment. Please see above 3 supersized images ... they are part of the description. If item is insured, but was received damaged, it is imperative to keep ALL SHIPPING MATERIALS should you need to make an insurance claim.     These books/items are not new unless specified new … they are retro or vintage, and some may come with wear and/or smells. I go to extremes, perhaps, detailing each item attributes and flaws, if any. And I especially include SMOKE and PET clauses in all descriptions, so please don't email me asking if it smells of smoke because you may be able to smell better than I do.
