FROM THE EDITOR:  Friendship quilts represent love.  Whenever I come across an antique signature quilt, I wonder who made it and for what occasion.  I touch the embroidered signatures and wonder if any of the participants are still with us.

A signature quilt inspires me to organize one myself to remind me of the people who love me and to commemorate special milestones in my life.  It gratifies me that I can use my quilting skills to make something special for someone I love.

To me, there is nothing more comforting than snuggling up in a memory quilt with a cat in my lap and a cup of hot chocolate in my hand.  I hope that these quilts will inspire you.  Within these pages, you'll find everything from antique signature quilts to modern photo transfer and T-shirt quilts.
