You are buying an ORIGINAL audio cassette, The Sky Is Crying by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. This is the first full posthumous album (although there was an earlier release, "October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990", a very rare "Best of" promotional compilation CD of tracks taken from Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble's five original albums.) from Stevie Ray Vaughn consisting of previously unreleased studio recordings and outtakes originally tracked between 1984 to 1989.
The Sky Is Crying spans the majority of the career of the late blues guitarist with his backing band, Double Trouble and the song selection demonstrates some of Vaughan's musical influences in the blues, jazz, and rock. Although for the majority of the album Vaughn plays his electric guitar, the final track, a tribute to contemporary blues guitarist and friend Doyle Bramhill, is played on an acoustic guitar.
The album was very successful, reaching #7 on the blues charts and scored a posthumous Grammy for Vaughn for his extended instrumental cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" (Hendrix also being an influence on Vaughn).
