Unusual windup tin lithographed,and furry cloth caterpillar toy. This neat older toy has a tin lithographed head and tail. It is in dark green,medium green, aqua green colors with detailing in black ,white,red,and brown. He has two antennas attached to the head, and a soft purplish furry body covering a coiled style spring. This is attached to a tin lithographed tail which matches the design of the head. When wound up, the caterpillar will scoot along dragging the tail, then scrunch up and straighten back out as it inches along. The antenna bob with the movement of the caterpillar. It is in good working condition, but the mechanism might need a bit of oiling to loosen it up more. Overall in very good to excellent condition, showing some light to average wear, and a bit of soiling to the furry body. The entire caterpillar is about 13 inches long ,3.25 inches wide at the cheeks of the head, and 2 inches tall. Winder is on the underneath side of the head.
