This is a Horn Coral fossil from the khongkhaen area of northern Thailand. It is shaped like a tooth. Possibly it was polished. Excavated from this area which was at one time an inland sea. Age is approximately 250 to 500 million years old.

Horn Coral is scientifically know as Rugosa Rose or just Rugosa. They are an extinct coral that existed in the Ordovician 500 million years ago to late Permian period 250 million years ago. It is thought they may have had stinging cells and tentacles to help them capture prey thus they are refereed to as microcarnivors.
