You are buying a pre-viewed, ORIGINAL VHS wrestling video, WWF (World Wrestling Federation) Highlights of WrestleMania, from 1986.
This tape is dedicated exclusively to the very first WrestleMania. It is a little known fact that the WWF at the time was in deep financial trouble, and had WrestleMania bombed, the company might have faced bankruptcy.
This tape concentrates on the marquee matches of WrestleMania, rather than go through every match on the card. The transitions are smooth, so that if you don't pay attention, you'll find yourself in a new match before you know it!
The featured matches are:
- The Main Event: Hulk Hogan & Mr. T (w/"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka in their corner) take on "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (w/Piper's bodyguard, "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton in their corner).
- In the $50,000 bodyslam challenge, Andre the Giant vows to retire if he cannot slam Big John Studd. If Andre can slam Studd, he will win $50,000 of Studd's money. Studd is managed by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
- The Junkyard Dog challenges Greg "The Hammer" Valentine for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
- Finally, S.D. "Special Delivery" Jones has a "special delivery" for King Kong Bundy. The problem, of course, is getting it to Bundy!
