You are buying a pre-viewed, ORIGINAL VHS wrestling video, AWA SuperClash 1985, Round #3.
One of the very few commercial video releases from Verne Gagne's Minneapolis-based American Wrestling Association, this card featured many wrestlers whom would go on to be even bigger stars in the WWF or WCW after the demise of the AWA.
Hosted by future WWF Champion Sgt. Slaughter (then in his prime), this card took place outdoors from Chicago's very own Comiskey Park (old Comiskey, then home of the Chicago White Sox baseball team), and contains the following matches:
- "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal vs. Brad Rheingans for the AWA Juniorweight Championship
- "Sensational" Sherri Martel vs. Candi Devine for the AWA Women's World Championship at a time when women's wrestling was a serious athletic contest, as opposed to the T&A fest that modern fans have come to associate with women's wrestling.
- In six man tag team action, Greg Gagne teams with AWA Tag Team Champions Scott Hall (a very young Razor Ramon, then a rookie) & Curt Hennig (the future AWA World Champion in 1987, a rookie himself, but more experienced than Hall, due to the training he received from his father, the great Larry "The Ax" Hennig vs. Nick Bockwinkel, Larry Zbyszko & Ray "The Crippler" Stevens.
- Rick Martel takes on Stan "The Lariat" Hansen for the AWA World Championship!
