Inside the book it says first published in 1956, by Japanese Cooking Research.
There does not seem to be a lot of copies of this book around, but please take note that this book is old, has been used, and shows wear and tear.
The book has writing in both English and Japanese. The first 191 pages are in English, and the rest is in Japanese.
The preface starts out by saying: Written in Japanese and English to explain the way of cooking Japanese dishes and delicacies for the Japanese in the US.
This book certainly seems as if it would have some useful and authentic information for Japanese cooking fans.
It does have some pictures, although they are not good quality pictures.
This is a vintage book, and has a lot of wear to it. The book is structurally sound, however.
The outside cover, both front and back has discolored areas. There is a marker mark along the top edge of the pages. The top edge of the pages are discolored and spotted. The side and bottom page edges of the book have light discolorations on them. The inside first page is discolored, in a tan color.
There is a name written inside the book. I also saw one written notation on one page that an ingrediant is mustard.
