I'm selling a copy of "Big Big Story Book," by Whitman, copyright 1941. This contains five famous children's stories; "Black Beauty", "The Story of Heidi", "The Story of Peter Pan", and "Hans Brinker or the Silver Skates". Cover has wear on edges, damage on the top of spine in the back, and dirty areas. Cover art seems to be by Lois Mal... can't make it out and it's cut off by the edge of picture. Art in the book is by Mary Alice Stoddard. Book lacks all pages before the beginning of "Black Beauty". Each story has it's own title page, except for "Black Beauty". Each of these has a copyright date that's the same, so I'm sure the book was from that year too. Spine is loose, but still holding, pages have some chips missing, beginning to yellow. There are some with tears, most are good. Persons name inside cover, some stains on a few pages too. The book should weigh about 1 pound 9 oz. when wrapped. Postage is included for US buyers (media rate). Buyers outside of the US should contact us for amount of additional postage needed to your country. This amount would be paid by buyers. Buyers outside of the US should be prepared to pay with Paypal. Payment is expected within 10 days.
