For sale is a vintage mens black checked 100% pure camel hair Burberrys blazer or sportscoat. This is a very attractive blazer, which appears to be impeccably tailored. The fabric is very soft on this. It feels similar to cashmere, but I have read that camel hair is more durable. A blue label at the neckline says ‘Burberrys.’ There is a larger blue label inside the chest area that says ‘Burberrys’ and has the logo of the knight on horseback. On the opposite chest side, there is another small label that says ‘100% pure camel hair.’ Then there is a label that says ‘Yale Genton West Springfield London Shop.’ One of the front buttons is loose and needs to be sewed back down. I can do this on request, before shipping the jacket. There is some very minor wear to the front buttons, and a bit more wear to the sleeve buttons. The sleeve buttons have some small surface nicks and some minor color loss. Although there are several labels inside the jacket, there doesn’t appear to be one which states the size for some reason. About ten years ago, I brought this to the store where it was purchased to ask about the size, and the on site tailor said it is a 42R. That store was Yale Genton, a local store that was in business for many years, but has since closed. There are three inside pockets in this blazer. The care instructions are on a label inside one of the pockets, and state ‘Dry clean professionally, short cycle, low moisture.’ The lining is black in color, and shows the logo of the knight on horseback. The blazer has one chest pocket, and two lower pockets with flaps over them. It closes in the front with two buttons. The buttons are black in color. They look like they are made of leather. They are embossed with the logo of the knight on horseback. The top button is a little loose, and looks as if it was pulled and has made a slight hole in the fabric. Once the button is tightened, this hole would not show, as it would be under the button. Each sleeve has three of the same button, but smaller. The buttons on the sleeves have some color loss to them. The jacket has a center back hem vent.
