The book says that the images in this book were taken from originals preserved in the Hoblitzelle Theater Arts Library in the Humanities Research Center, The University of Texas at Austin. The book flap has a lot of information. Some of what it says is that the photographs in this book were taken by Fred Fehl, the master of performance photography, from 1940 to 1970. The book contains 436 photographs, from 216 shows. The book flap says that Fred Fehl changed the style of theatrical pictures. He did this by using hand-held cameras, the shooting of shows during actual performances, and the use of available lighting and strobes t bring out the best in his subjects. The book flap says that his photographs bring to theater buffs everywhere the feeling of life and excitement an audience experiences on opening night. The photographs in this book are all black and white. They are excellent quality. Overall, this book is in good condition, especially considering it’s age. The book does not look like it was ever read, or even opened much. However, the dust jacket is not in good condition. There is wear to the dust jacket of this book. There is surface wear, scratching and pressure marks on the dust jacket, along with some creasing at the dust jacket edges. There are also several rips in the dust jacket, with one large one on the back. There are some discolorations on the dust jacket. Please note that there is a large inscription in ink inside the book.
