According to information I was given the dancer's image is taken from a poster by Toulouse-Lautrec and is an image of Jane Avril. Avril was most famous for her Can-Can at the Moulin Rouge and the Lautrec poster was done for her debut at the Jardin de Paris. The person who provided this information added, Ironically I don't believe she ever performed at the Folies Bergere.
This clock is a wall clock. It is intended to be hung on a wall. The clock is large. It measures approximately 16.5 inches wide, and approximately 19.5 inches tall.
The clock has a black frame around it. The clock is battery operated, and it does work. It is made out of some kind of board. The board can be seen in the photo of the back of the clock. There are no markings on the clock, although there is some writing in pencil on the back top corner of the clock. The writing has some numbers, and the word ‘new.’ I am not sure why this writing signifies.
The clock is ready to hang, as can be seen from the back photograph.
I do not know the age of this clock, however it is not an unused clock.
Please note that this clock, while charming, has wear to it and some flaws.
There is some wear to the clock. There are some white spots on the surface of the clock. Some of those spots appear to be paint spots. I do not know if they can be removed or not. There are a few darkish spots on the surface of the clock. There is one by the number 4, and one by the number 5. I am not sure what they are, or if they can be removed. There is some wear to the frame. There are some areas where the black of the frame is worn away. The black color could probably be touched up with black paint, or black marker.
