This listing is for a vintage Pendleton brand wool pleated skirt in a size 12. This skirt is absolutely gorgeous. The colors used in the wool are very vibrant, and beautiful. The colors are a gorgeous shade of royal blue, black, a green similar to an aqua green, purple, and a light gray. The colors are unusual, and co-ordinate beautifully. The wool has a fancy kind of weave to it. I am not sure how to describe it. There are three inside permanent tags in the skirt. One says in bright yellow lettering: Pendleton, Warranted to be a Pendleton, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Portland Oregon, 100% virgin wool. The tag has a woolmark symbol at the bottom of it. There is another tag with some numbers, and which also says: size 12. The third tag says: dry clean. I would say that the fabric is medium weight wool. The skirt has a side zipper. The waistband closes with a button above the zipper. The waistband feels like it has some gentle elastic in it, which would make for a comfortable fit. The fabric has beautiful colors in it. The fabric is just gorgeous. This skirt looks to be very well made. The skirt is pleated all the way around. The pleats are stitched down along the length of the skirt for approximately 4.75 inches, measuring from the bottom of the waistband, then, they are unstitched so as to be loose pleats. The length of the skirt is approximately 30.5 inches, from the top of the waistband to the hem. This skirt looks like it was barely worn. However, there are a few flaws in the skirt. I see three small holes. There is a tiny hole at the top of the waistband, at the back of the skirt. This hole could easily be stitched up. There is a larger hole, that is on the front side of the skirt, about 11 inches down from the waistband. The hole isn’t quite as big as the eraser on a pencil. The hole is very difficult to see. I located it by holding the fabric up to a light. I had to mark the hole with a safety pin to remember where it is. The hole could easily be stitched up with some black thread. Or, the hole could be left as is. It is very difficult to see, in my opinion. There is another small hole at the back of the skirt, approximately nine inches down from the waistband. This hole is located inside a pleat, and is not visible. Again, this hole could easily be stitched up. If there are any other holes in the skirt, I was not able to locate them. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern.
