Commemorative Trinket or Powder Box

issued in 2000 by Prinknash Pottery, Gloucester, England
to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Queen Mother.
 

The gold rimmed lid of this Powder/Trinket box is decorated
with the official Centenary portrait,
approved by Buckingham Palace,
of Queen Elizabeth,The Queen Mother
set into garlands of the British national floral emblems:
roses & thistles, a blue ribbon and a crown

The body of the box also has a gilt rim & floral emblems

It is stamped on the bottom "Prinknash Pottery, Gloucester, England",
with a miniature portait and a dedication which reads:

"To Commemorate the 100th birthday of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother
4th August 2000"

This porcelain box is 2 1/2" high by 4" in diameter
and is a lovely commemoration of the queen affectionately called
the "Queen Mum" by an adoring nation.

She died the next year shortly before her 101st birthday.

This box is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
