Wheeling Decorating Company Cigarette Box

Add to Cart
This ivory colored ceramic cigarette holder was decorated by the Wheeling Decorating Company, probably in the 1960’s. It has a horse’s head with a double bridle on it & measures 4 inches wide by 5 inches long & about 1 & 1/2 inches tall. The bottom shows a 1” in diameter solid gold circle & a diamond shape emblem with the words “Wheeling Decorating CO.” I could not find this particular cigarette box in the Wheeling Decorating book by James L. Webster, but did find a cigarette box with a fishing motif. Also in the same book, I did find some glasses & a plate with the same horse head design. There is one teeny tiny little nick on the underside of the lid in one of the corners. There is gold paint applied to the edges of the top & on the inside rim of the bottom. The bottom has grazing on the inside & outside of the bottom piece & there is a little bit of gold paint missing on the rim of the bottom. Otherwise item is in good condition.
