Plant might or might not have leaves on during the winter shipping. Usually it drops leaves when it gets cold and go dormant.
Don't be scared if you receive plant and leaves are dropped next to it. It is a protection from the stress. It will re sprout from the root system once it is exposed to warmth and strong light (artificial or spring sun)
This plant can be grown inside the house during winter if you provide strong light - similar to 500Wt High pressure sodium lamp 12 hours a day 2-3 feet away.

You will receive one tree planted in small plastic pot in soil. Starter plant is about 1-4 inches or bigger. Plant might be trimmed hard to promote rooting and branching if it outgrows shipping box 13 inches. Keep in the pot you receive plant until roots occupy all soil (2-4 weeks or until spring time). Keep in the shade, water moderate, do not over water it.
For shipping purposes big leaves might be trimmed or partially removed to conserve water consumption during shipping to your address. New leaves will grow in no time.
The Royal Empress tree is a one of the fastest growing trees in the world. It can grow 14 to 17 feet in 4 to 5 years and as much as 8 to 15 feet in a single year. The Royal Empress tree can reach heights of 30 to 40 feet. Trees over 80 feet high are known.
Soil Type: Prefers moist, deep, well-drained soil, will tolerate a wide range of soils.
Full sun or partial shade and sheltered from wind.

If you live in northern states where night temperature drops below freezing point - I will ship you dormant plant without leaves. , For those who live south and will not have bellow 32F for next 10 days - will ship vegetating plant with 2-4-6 leaves on. Plant still can drop leaves if exposed to cold during shipment during winter, so don't panic, it is normal for deciduous plants, it will go dormant and wake up in spring.
I prefer to ship on Mondays or/and Tuesday, to assure that it will not sit on a shelf over the weekend.
Plants under 16 Oz are shipped via First class mail, secured in the box to prevent shifting.
Over 16 Oz sent via Priority mail.

Plants will be packed securely in the box, preventing it from shifting inside the box, with adequate moisture in the soil or around the roots in case of bare rooted plants during the dormancy.
