Beautiful rich ruby red color with pressed glass sandwich pattern.
Vintage Excellent - no flaws noted, no chips, scratches, or cracks noted. Previously used item, normal wear for age and use.
Avon began making this pattern in the 1975 and stopped manufacturing in 1992 and finally discontinued it in 1993. The Avon Reproduction Sandwich Glass was made by early American pressed glass process called "Sandwich." The patterns used lacy intricate designs with fine background stippling and a sparkling brilliance that reflected craftsmanship.
The Avon 1876 Cape Cod Glass Collection drew its inspiration from the Roman Rosette classical pattern. The number “1876” comes from the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence being signed, and the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial.
The name “Cape Cod” for the collection is because many of the designs originated from the Boston & Sandwich Glass Works. This company started in 1825 at Cape Cod.

All merchandise is guaranteed to be free of chips, cracks, and excessive wear. Pieces may reflect slight variations in back stamps, markings, colors, weight, or size, depending on manufacturers’ specifications, changes in molds, or the length of time in production.
